Purchased the software - there were no caveats to the problems I was about to encounter. Uploaded my GEDCOM and voilà, a mess appeared. People were connected to the wrong families, profiles were sitting on top of each other and NONE of my evidence populated. Only the note that there was evidence and the list of evidence was not only pages long, the evidence pages were blank and scores of evidence had the same title. FTM support told me I'd have to delete the erroneously connected and overlapping people and re-enter them! They told me their software doesn't upload evidence, only links, which not all evidence has links. After nine days of owning this software and multiple ridiculous replies from FTM, I've deleted my tree and requested a refund. They should tell us before purchasing of what the software won't do. Shame on them.
In summary, I would not recommend Family Tree Maker (by Ancestry.com) to a friend.
