I've not been fully satisfied with my current family tree software for some time now, and was eager to give Legacy 10 a try. Each time I tried to install it, I got a message saying it needed almost 2TB more memory. I contacted Legacy Family Tree Support and got the following reply:

"This problem is occurring because your hard drive is too large. Legacy is built on Microsoft Access and Visual Basic and these program bases are a bit older and do not interact well with hard drives larger than 2 TBs. The work around to this is to partition your hard drive so that your C-Drive is less than 2 TBs and the rest of the hard drive is partitioned as another drive letter. For steps on how to do this, do a Google search for "how to partition my hard drive in Windows (version of Windows)"."

So, several problems here -
1. Legacy 10 is built on old technology that isn't readily compatible with newer (and, in my case, not so newer) machines.
2. This install problem is apparently known to Legacy Family Tree but new users aren't forewarned of this requirement.
3. The software, during installation, provides inaccurate info as to what the problem is.
4. Since I've no other software that requires drive partitioning to work, I won't be doing it for Legacy 10.

The bottom line? Just be aware of this software's limitations going in, and, since its built on aging technology, may well encounter other unannounced problems in newer machines. Also, since I could not install it, I can't vouch for the quality of any of its alleged features.

In summary, I would not recommend Legacy Family Tree to a friend.
